When surveyed, schools told us they choose larger companies simply because they feel they should offer a more reliable service and produce more professional, speedy results than a smaller operator. This is all based solely on the logic of bigger is - probably better. Well, if you're a smaller operator, you'll know otherwise, and together with SchoolPhotoPRO, we've been helping great photographers like you get the recognition you deserve.
Why schools and pre-schools prefer SchoolPhotoPRO Members
By choosing an independent photographer who is a members of our association, schools can be sure they are using a dedicated photographer that operates under a strict Code of Conduct and constantly strives to improve the school photography service they provide. All this helps schools and pre-schools make a more informed choice about who they use for your next photo-session.
Our association has 2 levels of membership; Registered and Accredited
Membership is just £95 and has a whole heap of benefits which you can see below. Both membership levels cost the same, the only difference being the experience you have had in this field of work. We are an association for independent school photographers, so membership is only open to individuals and companies with up to 3 full-time photographers.
SchoolPhotoPRO Registered Photographers
To become a Registered member, all you need to do is provide us with copies of your insurance(s) and 2 photographic trade supplier references. You must have submitted school or pre-school photography feedback within 12 months of joining.
SchoolPhotoPRO Accredited Photographers
To become an Accredited member, you must also provide us with a track record of work from satisfied customers (a minimum of 3 school or pre-school customers that you have photographed on 3 separate occasions, in no more than 2 years).
As a SPPA member, you have to adhere to our strict Code of Conduct.
